Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah to Yas Island for free
The free Yas Express shuttle also runs from the northern emirates to the Yas Island parks. There are four routes: S1 from Sharjah, AJ1 and AJ2 from Ajman, and R1 from Ras Al Khaimah. Exactly one of them runs on each day of the week. The bus sets off early in the morning, takes about three hours, and brings guests back to the same hotels in the evening.
You can ride free with a ticket for any Yas Island park: Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World or SeaWorld. The timetable comes from the official Yas Express booklet and was checked on 30 October 2026. Times are approximate bus arrival times at each stop.

"Waterworld" is the Yas Waterworld stop, which also serves Warner Bros. World.
Which route runs on which day
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: R1 (Ras Al Khaimah: Rixos Bab Al Bahr, DoubleTree by Hilton Marjan Island)
- Tuesday, Thursday: S1 (Sharjah: Occidental Sharjah Grand, Sharjah Carlton Hotel)
- Saturday: AJ1 (Ajman: Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, Coral Beach Resort)
- Sunday: AJ2 (Ajman: Ajman Hotel, Ajman Saray)

Journey time and time in the park
- Sharjah and Ajman: pick-up at 08:00–08:10, at the parks by 11:00–11:20. The bus leaves the parks at 18:15–18:35 and is back at the hotels at 21:25–21:35. That gives you about seven hours in the park.
- Ras Al Khaimah: pick-up at 09:00–09:10, at the parks by 12:00–12:20, returning at the same 18:15–18:35. That gives you about six hours in the park.
It is a long day, with about six hours on the bus in total. With small children, a private transfer may be easier, because you choose when to leave and when to come back.
If the day doesn't suit you
- From Sharjah, you can travel into Dubai and take one of the Dubai routes, which run every day. The Dubai stop closest to Sharjah is Deira City Centre (route D3, Thursday and Friday). See Dubai to Yas Island for free.
- From Fujairah there is no route. The emirate is mentioned in the booklet, but no timetable is given.
- A private transfer from your own hotel is the other option (see below).
Tips
- Be at the hotel 10–15 minutes early. There are no seat reservations, and seats go first come, first served.
- Buy your park ticket in advance and show it when you board. Without a ticket you will not be allowed on.
- Eating on board is not allowed. Have something before you leave and pack what you need for the park.
- The booklet map shows Sharjah Carlton Hotel twice, and the second pin near Ajman is probably wrong. Go by the hotel's real address.
- The day before, check the timetable on yasisland.com or in the Yas Island app.

Is there a free bus from Sharjah to Ferrari World?
Yes. Route S1 runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It leaves Occidental Sharjah Grand at 08:00 and Sharjah Carlton Hotel at 08:10, and reaches Ferrari World at 11:20.
How do I get from Ajman to Yas Waterworld for free?
On Saturdays take route AJ1 from Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel or Coral Beach Resort. On Sundays take AJ2 from Ajman Hotel or Ajman Saray. Both reach Yas Waterworld at 11:00.
Does Yas Express run from Ras Al Khaimah?
Yes. Route R1 runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It leaves Rixos Bab Al Bahr at 09:00 and DoubleTree by Hilton Marjan Island at 09:10.
What time does the bus get back to Sharjah, Ajman or Ras Al Khaimah?
It leaves the parks at 18:15–18:35 and reaches the hotels at 21:25–21:35.
Is there a shuttle from Fujairah?
The booklet has no Fujairah route, although it mentions the emirate. A taxi or a private transfer is the way to go.
